It is important for us to remember after this election that our job as abolitionists remains the same. Stay the course of simplicity in obedience to God in loving Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbor as ourself. Do not ignore the weightier matters of the law.
We are prophets of truth not pragmatists of secularism. We call for justice for all of our neighbors now, not illusory regulation or small adjustments to the status quo.
We are to speak clarity when everyone else is really confused. We are to be salt and light. That likely means what you do will stick out and seem odd to the world around you. Not for the sake of being odd. But for the sake of following truth when everyone else is following lies.
We lean not on our own understanding but in everything we do acknowledge God and His word. We let His word trump the counsel of the world.
We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ without shame knowing that those who are perishing will call us fools but those who will hear it will be saved. We know most will not agree with the path we have chosen to fully and unabashedly agree with God in all that we do.
We know that most will continue to call us idiots for thinking that God is an active agent working and that we do not operate in a closed system. We know that this is our simple duty and obligation. It is the least we can do. And we also know it is the only hope for our nation of lost and deceived souls.
Do not waver or flinch today. Pray that we will love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. And that we will never doubt Him or His word.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” – Ephesians 6
